I take a consultative approach to accounting as there is no one-size-fits-all. Understanding what a client truly needs (even when they don’t know themselves) is the key to a successful relationship.

Whether I am taking on a new client, or meeting with a client I’ve been working with for years, we always discuss the problems they are facing and what they want to achieve. Objectives in mind, I combine the current tax rules with my technical expertise to develop a strategy and find a solution that fits them – in that moment. As my clients develop and grow, so do their objectives and our strategies.

I joined SB Partners as a co-op student. I stayed because of the supportive culture and the genuine work they do in the community. 35 years later I am proud to call myself a Partner.

Outside of the firm, I like to spend quality time with family and friends. A little “me” time on the dock with a book is heaven, but what I really love is the days when my son stops by with lunch, or my daughter drops in for a sneaky coffee break. Time is valuable and connections are everything.
