Mike Ervin
CPA, CA

I have been passionate about tax for as long as I can remember. I love being able to work with clients to build the right corporate structure for their business now, and in the future.

While I started my career with one of the big 4, I chose to put down roots with SB Partners in 2017, because of how they focus on client success and how they have grown like a family over the last 50 years.

I work with a lot of owner-managed businesses, helping them to understand complex tax issues and finding ways to help them choose the right strategic structure for their business and family, through corporate reorganizations, estate planning, succession planning, trusts, and much more.

My perspective and understanding extend beyond the world of taxation. “I take great pride in helping clients with all their business issues, with the aim of becoming a trusted business advisor.”

I have always felt a deep sense of responsibility to give back to my community. I genuinely care about people and consistently dedicate my time, talent, and resources to fostering strong lasting relationships that help our clients, the firm and community thrive. Whether through participating in charitable efforts such as Sleepless in our Cities, getting involved in charity golf tournaments, or encouraging 100% colleague participation in firm-wide fundraising initiatives, I am committed to making a meaningful impact and I am truly delighted to be part of a firm whose values align so closely with my own.

When I’m not reading up on the most recent taxation changes, you can find me spending time with my family and friends, sitting around the campfire at the cottage, or improving my golf game.
