Effective October 1st, 2024, SB Partners is pleased to announce the appointment of Melanie McLeod, as Partner, and Managing Partner. In her new role, Melanie will expand her leadership of the firm’s operations team and will lead the firm’s strategic direction. Janice Pomerleau will continue as Co-Managing Partner alongside Melanie with an external and client relationship focus.
Melanie joined SB Partners in 2001 as a graduate of the Mohawk College Accounting Program. In 2012, her dedication to furthering her education resulted in the successful completion of her Bachelor of Business Administration and her CPA designation. Around the same time, an opening came up in the Finance Department and Melanie took on the role of Controller at SB Partners. Her dedication to the role, the firm, and her colleagues saw her move swiftly into the position of Director of Finance.
By 2020, SB Partners had grown to the point of needing a Managing Director to support the firm. Melanie’s commitment, hard work, leadership skills, and detailed understanding of our business made her the perfect candidate for the role, and for her new role as Managing Partner.
Melanie is well-regarded by peers, colleagues, and clients and works purposefully to support and coach those around her. Melanie’s promotion is a testament to her ability to approach obstacles as opportunities and to foster those around her to be the best versions of themselves. The partners appreciate Melanie’s ability to lead and live the firm’s mission and values and see this appointment as a recognition of her longstanding contribution to the firm.
