Effective January 1st, 2025, SB Partners is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Ervin, as Partner, Tax. In his new role, Michael will expand his leadership role and continue to build relationships with our clients.
Michael joined SB Partners in 2017 as a Tax Manager. Having started his career in a larger firm, he made the move to SB Partners as he wanted to use his experience to work more closely with owner-managed businesses in a role that allowed him to work directly with clients and help them understand how tax strategy can benefit their business. In 2022, Michael became a Principal and was a go-to resource on tax-related issues for his colleagues and clients.
Michael’s charisma and can-do attitude make him an esteemed colleague who is always willing to take time for those around him. His demeanor and ability to set others at ease, make him a true asset to everyone he works with.
SB Partners is proud to support several community initiatives and Michael has taken a keen interest in this since the day he joined the firm. He genuinely cares about people and constantly dedicates his time, talent and resources to fostering strong lasting relationships that help our clients, our firm and community thrive. Whether through attending charity events, personal contributions, and finding ways to encourage 100% colleague involvement in companywide fundraising efforts, his dedication to his personal and professional communities is exemplary. When he’s not in the office, you’ll find Michael on the greens, or reading up on tax.
2024 has been a year of milestones for Michael. He got married, became a dad to a baby girl, and welcomed an Australian Sheppard pup into the family! We are delighted to be able to add Partner to his list of reasons to celebrate.
