On January 23, the Federal Government announced a $5 million contribution that will allow the Yves Landry Foundation to expand its Achieving Innovation and Manufacturing Excellence (AIME) Global program. The objective of the program is to foster training that will lead to advancements in innovation within the manufacturing sector in Ontario. All projects must lead to new global export opportunities or create new global markets.
Things to Know: The Yves Landry Foundation is making available up to $50,000 per qualifying company in the form of a grant.
- If you have received AIME funding from the Yves Landry Foundation in the past three years, you are not eligible.
Funding will be provided for two major objectives:
- Training that will support the adaptation of new technology, new processes or procedures or a change within the company to support innovation. These innovations must be clearly linked to innovations leading to global competitiveness including expanding into new domestic or international markets.
- Training that will support and develop High Skilled Personnel in any area that leads to innovation.
Clearly linking projects to global competiveness will be essential.
The program criteria are linked to location. The Yves Landry Foundation has provided a map. Clicking on your area will take you to the appropriate criteria. Note that Hamilton is considered in the Southwestern Region; Toronto, Mississauga and Brampton are Central Region; and Burlington and Oakville are considered South Central Region.
Application Process: There is a Preliminary Application which takes up to 8 days to process. Upon receiving approval, companies would complete the Full Application.
